Telehealth

Telehealth Occupational Therapist

Expert OT support delivered by video, wherever you live, including rural and remote communities across Australia.

Our Approach

Telehealth built for equity of access

We understand that telehealth isn't the right fit for everyone. But we're passionate about what it makes possible: genuine equity of access to occupational therapy for all Australians, particularly those in rural and remote communities where a in-person OT is not accessible.

If you're located outside our regular Brisbane and Ipswich service area, or you'd simply prefer the flexibility of a video consultation, telehealth may be a suitable option for your occupational therapy needs.

Enquire About Telehealth

Telehealth OT can help with

  • Basic off the shelf equipment prescription
  • Functional capacity evaluations and reviews
  • Cognitive screening and follow-up
  • Falls prevention education and strategy sessions
  • Support coordination and family case conferences
Is It Right For You

Is telehealth OT a good fit?

Telehealth works well for many people, but not every assessment can be done this way.

Telehealth often works well for

  • Clients in rural or remote areas outside our travel range
  • Follow-up sessions after an initial in-person assessment
  • Cognitive check-ins and education-based sessions
  • Clients who are comfortable using a phone, tablet or computer, with support if needed

An in-home visit may be better for

  • Detailed physical home safety and access assessments
  • Hands-on equipment fitting and trials
  • Complex mobility or falls assessments
  • Clients who find video calls difficult without support

Not sure which is right for you? Get in touch and we can talk through your situation to find the best approach, including a hybrid of telehealth and in-person visits where appropriate.
